The Acting Commissioner of Corrections, Sevuloni Naucukidi, officially launched the Strategic Development Plan 2025–2029 and Annual Corporate Plan 2025–2026 on Friday 22/8/25.
The Commissioner acknowledged the presence of all stakeholders for their valuable inputs and the men and women of FCS in shaping these guiding documents to take the organisation into the future. “These stakeholders includes government, NGO and faith based organisation’s who had been part of our journey since the inception of the plan”, said Mr Naucukidi. Mr Naucukidi added, ” You all play an important role and as such become a critical partner in the holistic rehabilitation of offenders”.
“We recognize that success cannot be achieved in isolation, partnerships are essential especially in the work of saving lives,” Mr Naucukidi said.

“I extend our most heartfelt gratitude to all our stakeholders, community leaders, and partners who continue to stand by us”.
“Your collaboration ensures that our vision does not remain on paper but becomes a reality to transform lives.”
“Our Through and Thorough Care approach, reaffirms that every offender can transform”. This means prioritizing digital innovation in inmate management, strengthening rehabilitation tracking systems and enhancing infrastructure that supports true reform.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, the launch of these plans is a new beginning. It is the foundation of a stronger Fiji Corrections Service and a safer, more inclusive and prosperous Fiji.”
The benediction was conducted by Rev Soro, Divisional Superindent, Wasewase o Suvavou of the Methodist Church in Fiji.
The plan articulates the way forward for the FCS to deliver a robust, relevant and effective correctional system aligned to international best practices.
