
Southern Divisional Rehab Officer, COA Waisale Kuruisaravi returned from a 2-weeks attachment training program in India.
He becomes the first FCS personnel to attend a training program at Rashtriya Raksha (National Security) University, State of Gujarat.
“This University is highly regarded for everyone in the security services so am quite privileged to have been given this opportunity.”
“I thank the FCS and Government of Fiji for this training opportunity, the challenge for me now is to put this into practice here.”
The training program centered on Reformation and Rehabilitation of Offenders.
Acting Commissioner of Corrections, Mr Sevuloni Naucukidi thanked COA Kuruisaravi for opening a new pathway for the FCS through his successful completion of the program.

“The FCS supports the capacity building of its personnel whom we believe have much to contribute to the organisation.
Mr Naucukidi further stressed the need to keep enhancing the rehabilitation programs at the FCS.
“I believe you would have seen firsthand in India many new things which will assist you with your work from hereon.”
The program featured 30 personnel from around the world, from the Corrections, Police and legal field.
