Northern Division – The Acting Commissioner and his Command Team have successfully completed their Northern Division Inspection, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening operations and supporting officers on the ground.
The inspection began on Monday, 30th of March, at the Labasa Corrections Centre in Vaturekuka and concluded today at the Taveuni Corrections Centre in Waitavala. Throughout the visits, the team assessed operational standards, facility conditions, and overall service delivery across both institutions.

A key highlight of the inspection was the opportunity for the Acting Commissioner and his team to engage directly with officers through face-to-face discussions. These sessions provided a platform to personally thank the men and women for their dedication, resilience, and continued service to the Fiji Corrections Service.
The Command Team also addressed important issues affecting daily operations, encouraging officers to take a proactive role in the ongoing development and improvement of the organisation. Emphasis was placed on transparency, accountability, and integrity, maintaining high standards of professionalism in all areas of duty.
The Fiji Corrections Service remains committed to supporting its officers and ensuring that all divisions are aligned in delivering safe, secure, and effective correctional services across the country.
