“In life we are constantly on a journey, that uniform you wear will be taken off one day and there you begin another journey.
“But one most important aspect of life is throughout this journey you will constantly experience opportunities for self-renewal, strengthen your faith in God and leaving old habits behind.”
This was part of the Talatala Qase Suvavou, Rev Ananaiasa Soro’s sermon this morning at the FCS Chapel which was broadcasted LIVE to all divisions across the country.
The final Church Parade of the year was to remind all about the journey in 2025 and to look ahead with renewed faith and vision for another new year of service.
“Society is constantly evolving, God continues to show us signs, life is not getting any easier, cost of living is constantly rising, so we must ensure that we are able to deal with it all.
Rev Soro, reminded all that during challenging times, men of faith who believe in a higher calling often have the work ethic and resolve to always keep working and searching.
“These are very important key things in living as Christians.”
Acting Commissioner, Mr Sevuloni Naucukidi ended the service with an address to his men and women, broadcasted LIVE across the 4 Divisions.
“I am humbled by the fact, that technology and expertise has allowed us now to conduct such a service live throughout all Institutions.”
Mr Naucukidi reiterated Rev. Soro’s sermon as it tied in well with the challenges faced by the organisation this year and the things that needed to be changed in the new year.
“I am deeply humbled and pay tribute to the efforts of the men and women on the ground in the months I have been appointed as Acting Commissioner,” he said.
“We have had everything thrown at us this year but the character we have shown throughout exemplifies the sermon today, so I thank you all, it has been an honour to serve you all.”
Mr Naucukidi, stated with reference to the 400 plus years the Israelites were held in bondage as slaves in Egypt before they were set free by Moses.
He reminded all personnel that everyone has their own Egypt and it was important never to return to it but keep moving forward.
He also reminded all that this was part of the season where a lot of reflection, celebrations and joy must be shared with the family – the main reason why we all work
