Nationwide, Fiji – The Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) conducted its first Divisional Parade for the new financial year across its respective divisions today, providing an opportunity for officers and staff to reflect on achievements, acknowledge ongoing responsibilities, and look ahead to the priorities of the new financial year.

During the parades, respective Divisional Supervisors addressed their personnel, thanking the men and women of the Service for their continued commitment, dedication and professionalism in carrying out their duties.

The addresses also provided an opportunity to recap key activities undertaken by the Service in recent months, including the ACP Workshop, Yellow Ribbon Arts Exhibition, and the UNODP Conference, which highlighted the Service’s continued efforts towards professional development, collaboration and strengthening its operational capabilities.

Speaking during today’s Divisional Parade in the West, was Assistant Commissioner of Corrections – Operations, Mr. Tuapati Kacivi, who addressed officers on the importance of maintaining professionalism, discipline and commitment to the FCS mandate.

The parade also included the promotion of officers, with Assistant Commissioner Kacivi and Supervisor Western Division, Superintendent Jone Nasulinibawa, officiating the promotion of officers within the Western Division. The promotions recognise the officers’ progression and increased responsibilities within the Service.

Divisional Supervisors also urged all officers and staff to uphold the established standards of discipline, conduct and professionalism, emphasizing that these remain fundamental to maintaining public confidence and the effective delivery of the FCS mandate.

The first Divisional Parade for the new financial year served as a platform to reinforce teamwork, accountability, discipline and unity across the Service as FCS continues its work towards transforming lives and securing communities.
