Sofitel, Nadi – The Fiji Corrections Service today held a high-level meeting with the Director General of the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG) Secretariat, Dr. Anna Naupa, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and regional engagement.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Commissioner of Corrections, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Corrections, Assistant Commissioner of Corrections – Administration, and Permanent Secretary for Justice, Ms. Selina Kuruleca.
Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest between the Fiji Corrections Service and the MSG Secretariat, including opportunities for greater regional cooperation, capacity development and the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
The engagement provided an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen their understanding of respective priorities and explore areas where future collaboration can contribute to the development of the corrections sector and the wider Pacific region.
The Fiji Corrections Service acknowledged the importance of continued engagement with regional organisations such as the MSG Secretariat in supporting stronger partnerships and advancing shared priorities.
