The Fiji Corrections Service marked a major milestone this afternoon after the commissioning of its first ever 65-seater Bus at its Central Eastern Division Headquarters today.
The bus was commissioned by the Acting Commissioner of Correction, Mr Sevuloni Naucukidi and blessed by Rev Ananaiasa Sorovakaca, the Divisional Superintendent of the Suvavou Circuit.
The bus will aid in the transportation of personnel from to work and fro during the changing of shifts within the Nasinu CC and Naboro corridor. Currently, this is being done by smaller coaster buses which is always full.
Now men and women of FCS can ride in comfort to work and back after a long hard day.
The bus was originally part of the fleet donated by the UNDP for the Ministry of Women’s and was transfered to the FCS where is was again fully refurbished.
