In a special ceremony befitting its 150 Years celebration, the Fiji Corrections Service conducted a nation-wide Affirmation Oath of Allegiance Ceremony and Church Service which was shared and run LIVE to all its Divisional Centers attended by all over two sessions.
The first session began at 5am and the second at 8am to cater for those returning from night shift.
The event helped set the tone for the celebrations, where the Acting Commissioner of Corrections, Mr Sevuloni Naucukidi addressed his men and women LIVE via multi-media.
โThis ceremony holds special significance as it coincides with our 150th Anniversary Celebration, 150 years of service, sacrifice and transformation under the banner of the Fiji Corrections Service,โโ Commissioner Naucukidi said.

โThis remarkable milestone reminds us of our long and proud history, a history built on discipline, faith and an unwavering commitment to justice and rehabilitation.
โFrom our humble beginnings in 1874 to the modern organization we are today, the Fiji Corrections Service has stood as a pillar of order, compassion and nation building.
โThe oath that your re-affirm today is not just a set of words, it is a solemn covenant between you, your nation, and your God. You have pledged to uphold the laws of Fiji, to serve with integrity and to carry your duties out faithfully and fearlessly.
โAs we mark our 150 years, we honour all those who have come before us, men and women who wore this uniform with pride, who faced challenges with courage, and who dedicated their lives to building safe and a more just Fiji. Their legacy is now in your hands.
โWe are called to restore lives, to rebuild hope and to help those who have lost their way.โ
He challenged all the men and women of the Service.

โI challenge you, to live your oath every day, let your conduct reflect the values of your service, serve with humility and compassion. Authority means nothing without compassion.
โPlace your trust in God, for it is through him that we draw our strength and wisdom. Let us renew our commitment to serve faithfully, lead with integrity and to uphold the dignity of every Fijian entrusted to our care.
โI am deeply proud of how far we have come. The FCS today stands as a symbol of professionalism, resilience and faith. We must also look forward to the next generation of officers, to new approaches in rehabilitation and to a future built on integrity and excellence.

โMay this Oath of Allegiance remind us that our true duty is not only to enforce the law but to restore lives, protect communities and honour God through our Service.
