The 17 Fiji Corrections Service personnel who were promoted this morning at the National Headquarters Divisional Parade in Suva have been urged to be firm, diligent but most of all be more responsible in their roles.
The personnel are part of the support units to the NHQ of the FCS, namely the Engineering Corp, Training Academy, Emergency Control and K9 Unit, the Business Enterprise, Accounts and Logistics and the Operations Command Center.
Officiating the Parade, NHQ Supervisor, Superintendent Lemeki Rokovesa congratulated those promoted and reminded them that more responsibilities now lie on their

shoulders.
โWith promotion of rank, comes more responsibilities and more power, but you must exercise that power with caution along the lines of what you can and cannot do depending on your job description or in the manner of any normal operations,โโ he said.
โI congratulate and also remind you all that we see the hard work that you are doing and also acknowledge your skills and experience, hence the promotion.โ
Meanwhile, later in the afternoon, a number of those promoted were hosted to an afternoon tea by the Acting Commissioner, Mr Auta Moceisuva.
Mr Moceisuva reminded them to always follow the conditions of the work that binds them and also to produce the quality of work which their new ranks demand.
โNow on behalf of all of us we wish you all the best and am sure you will continue to produce the work that benefits and adds value to the organization.โ
