The Commonwealth Law Ministers Meeting was officially opened today at the Crowne Plaza in Nadi, with the Acting Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service, Mr Auta Moceisuva, attending the opening ceremony alongside key national and international leaders.
The event was graced by the Prime Minister of Fiji, Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka, as Chief Guest and the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Hon. Shirley Botchwey, representing the Commonwealth Law Ministers.
The Acting Commissionerโ€™s presence at this high-level gathering underscores the Fiji Corrections Serviceโ€™s active role within the broader justice sector and its commitment to regional and international engagement.
Also in attendance were the Commissioner of Fiji Police, the Minister for Justice, and other senior delegates, reflecting a unified approach to strengthening justice systems and upholding the rule of law.
The meeting brings together Commonwealth member states to deliberate on critical legal and justice issues, including access to justice, institutional strengthening, and cross-border cooperation.
The Fiji Corrections Service remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote effective, fair, and resilient corrections and justice systems across the Pacific and the wider Commonwealth.
