Nineteen Fiji Corrections Service officers graduated today from a two-week Administration Skills Course conducted at the Fiji Corrections Service Academy in Naboro.
The graduation ceremony was officiated by Acting Deputy Commissioner of Corrections, Mr. Apolosa Veve, who presented certificates to the participants and commended them for their dedication, hard work, and commitment throughout the training.
In his closing address, Mr. Veve reiterated the key messages shared during the recent Commissioner’s Church Parade, encouraging officers to reflect on the issues of negligence and ignorance, while continually asking themselves whether they are leading by example.
Mr. Veve also urged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the course in their daily duties, emphasizing the important role administrative officers play at the tactical level. He reminded officers that the quality of their work directly contributes to the effectiveness and direction of the Fiji Corrections Service at the strategic level, stressing that their work matters and has a significant impact on the organizationโ€™s overall success.
