The Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) accorded a traditional welcoming ceremony yeaterday to officially receive its new Chaplain for the 2026โ2030 term, Rev. Iliesa Soita.
In keeping with iTaukei protocol, Rev. Soita was respectfully escorted by the Saunaka, Nadi Church congregation, where he faithfully served prior to this appointment for five years.
The ceremony reflected deep cultural values of respect, unity, and spiritual grounding.
The occasion was further honoured by the presence of the Honourable Minister for Justice, Mr. Siromi Turaga, who conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Rev. Soita and the Saunaka Congregation for their continued service and support.
Rev Soita has served for 18 years around the country and was in Saunaka, Nadi for the last 5 years.
He hails from Kedra, Dogotuki in the Province of Macuata is married to Elenoa Liku from Moala in Nadi. They have two daughters and a son.
