Fiji Corrections Service personnel got together at the National Headquarters this afternoon to farewell a dedicated member of the Service.

PCO Taivoce, the former Quarter Master of the Service celebrated his 60th birthday last week which also brought to a close 39 years of service in the disciplined services.
At the age of 21, he enlisted in the Fiji Military Forces and after 5 Peace Keeping Duty tours transfered to the Fiji Corrections in 2012 where he served for 14 years.
He joined Logistics Unit and immediately worked his way up to be quarter master by 2017, a post he held until recently.

Deputy Commissioner, Mr Apolosa Veve said the career of Mr Taivoce was a true potrayal of a dedicated man in uniform.
“A life built in the service of others and the nation is a legacy which many ordinary citizens cannot mirror.
“I wish you and your family well in your next chapter of life.”
Mr Taivoce said his last decade with Corrections was perhaps the most testing and also most rewarding which he will treasure forever.
His contribution over the years in the service was also in the field of rugby where he coached and managed both the Wardens mens and womens teams over the years.
His passion for rugby poured into the Skipper Cup where he took the Namosi womens team to the finals two times.
