Corrections HQ, Suva – The Acting Commissioner of Corrections today received a courtesy visit from the Walesi team at Headquarters, where sponsorship items were officially handed over in support of the Fiji Corrections Serviceโs ongoing programs. The visit also provided an opportunity for both parties to engage in constructive discussions on long-term collaboration, including the potential formulation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The Acting Commissioner expressed his sincere appreciation for Walesiโs continued support over the years, acknowledging the organization as one of the Serviceโs long-standing partners. He commended their commitment and welcomed the proposal to further strengthen cooperation, noting his anticipation to work closely with the Walesi team and their services in the near future.
Walesi will also be part of the upcoming Yellow Ribbon Walk in Nabouwalu, Bua, where they will host a booth in support of the initiative. Their continued involvement highlights a shared commitment towards community engagement and second chances, reinforcing the importance of partnerships in advancing rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.
