Assistant Commissioner of Corrections Operations, Mr. Tuapati Kacivi, congratulated all participating inmates for their enthusiasm, commitment and outstanding performances. He also acknowledged the officers whose dedication and support in preparing the traditional items and coordinating the event contributed greatly to the success of the competition.

The Medium Corrections Centre inmates have dedicated their victory to Outrigger Beach Resort, Shangri-La Fiji, Sigatoka River Safari and Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa for generously providing their sulu vakatoga worn during their cultural performances. The inmates have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the support received, with videos of their messages of gratitude to each organisation.

The Cultural Competition forms part of the Fiji Corrections Service’s ongoing rehabilitation efforts, encouraging positive engagement, cultural appreciation and personal development among inmates.
